The Nativity Day School welcomes children ages 10 weeks through 3K. The school is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Our school is staffed with highly qualified teachers and experienced caregivers to ensure that the students of the Nativity Day School receive the best care and instruction possible.
Nativity Day School is a ministry of the Episcopal Church of the Nativity. The mission of Nativity Day School is to promote each child’s intellectual, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual growth in a nurturing, safe environment, seeking in all aspects of the ministry to embody the love of God in Jesus Christ.
Nativity Day School strives to create a safe and nurturing environment where children are free to grow and develop into the unique individuals God has created them to be. Because children learn through playing, we play a lot! Our curriculum also encourages early literacy skills, creative expression, and positive social interaction. Because NDS is a small school, children advance into each new class with the same friends they knew the year before. The sense of community the children develop with their peers is clear. For our 2k and 3k classes, a weekly chapel component led by the Pastor of Nativity Church supplements the spiritual leadership provided by classroom teachers. In Chapel, the children sing, pray, and hear a Bible story. Godly Play, a Montessori-based approach to Christian education, is the source of much of our Chapel Program.
