A Service of Choral Evensong
Sunday, November 1 | 4:00 PM | Church of the Nativity
An Invitation to Quiet Reflection
As the sun begins to set on All Saints' Day, we invite you to join us for a beautiful service of Choral Evensong.
Evensong is one of the great treasures of the Anglican tradition. It is a service of Scripture, ancient canticles, and prayer, sung by the choir and congregation together. It is quiet, unhurried, and deeply grounded in the rhythms of the historic Church. In a busy world, Evensong offers a rare and sacred space to pause, listen, and breathe.
The Feast of All Saints
November 1 is All Saints' Day, a principal feast in the Church calendar. On this day, we remember all the saints, known and unknown, who have gone before us in the faith. We give thanks for their witness, and we remember that we are surrounded by a "great cloud of witnesses" as we live out our own faith.
This service of Evensong is a fitting way to mark this holy day, lifting our voices in the same prayers and songs that Christians have offered for centuries.
The Music
Our Nativity Chancel Choir will offer special music for this feast day, including choral settings of the Magnificat and Nunc dimittis. David Williamson will accompany on the organ.
Whether you are a lifelong Episcopalian or simply looking for a moment of quiet reflection and beautiful music, you are warmly invited to attend.
